Personal Injury Cases in Naperville Similar to Those That We Handle

  1. v. M. – June 2019 In a recent wrongful death suit, a jury awarded the plaintiff $4.7 million in damages, when it was determined that the deceased’s death was caused directly by the defendant’s distracted driving due to his job. The deceased was driving on I-80 near the city of Country Club Hills, Illinois, when his vehicle was struck from behind by a vehicle driven by the defendant. Since the defendant was a sales representative for a cutlery and kitchen equipment company on route from one sales call to the next at the time of the accident, the Plaintiff successfully sued the two companies related to the defendant’s employment. The defendant readily admitted that at the time of the accident he was using the mapping and GPS functions on his cell phone to check the location of his next sales call and that he was not looking at the road.
  2. v. BNSF Co. – June 2019 In this negligence survival claim case, the plaintiff was awarded damages when it was proved that her husband’s extended exposure to asbestos and other carcinogens while working as an engineer and brakeman for a rail company caused his illness and premature death. The counts alleged that the defendant had violated the Federal Locomotive Inspection Act and the Federal Employers Liability Act, ultimately resulting in the defendant’s death.
  3. v. O. – October 2017 In this case the defendant performed a suicide screening of the decedent and determined that he was not at imminent risk of harming himself. Only nine days after that screening, the decedent killed himself. The plaintiff, the decedent’s son and administrator of his estate, filed a wrongful death and survival action against the defendant and her employer, the hospital with which she worked. The jury of this trial returned a general verdict in the plaintiff’s favor and awarded almost $1.5 million in damages.

When You Need A Good Criminal Defense Lawyer In Naperville

If you have been arrested for a crime in Naperville, Illinois or the surrounding area, the first thing you should do is contact a criminal defense attorney. At our offices we make it our mission to work with you to protect your individual rights. We find out all the charges filed against you, help you get bail as quickly as possible, and then get to work preparing a strong defense for your case. We will help you get the charges against you dismissed or minimized, or push for sentencing that is minimal and suited to your specific situation.

Even if you have been charged unduly, we will work to appeal that conviction. Similar to the case of People v. T. where the defendant was found guilty of one count of driving under the influence of alcohol and was sentenced to 60 days in jail and 24 months of probation. The defendant was able to appeal his conviction, contending that the trial court erred in numerous ways; from refusing to instruct the jury regarding “voluntary act” where evidence was presented that defendant was in a state of automatism when he drove his car, admitting into evidence purported hospital blood test records, and that his due process rights were violated regarding his field sobriety tests and the officer’s testimony given at a prior hearing.

Check out what Wendy had to say about us on Avvo:

“Mr Brennan helped me with a case that was nearly dead in the water. Because of time restraints and assumptions on my behalf, I was struggling financially paying on bills I thought were my own from a car accident over a year ago. I reached out to him thinking not much could be done because I had had no results with the insurance companies before. Whenever I reached out on my own my words fell of deaf ears and became tired to listeners. He was patient and listened to me and guided me through step by step . He not only got to the the bottom of the error but gave me options and then we followed through and he got us results before the statue of limitations gave out. He is a true advocate for the little guy ( or gal in my case) and it wasn’t about greed or winning it was about doing the right thing. Just reach out -he’s there to help.”
